Theme Chosen: Recycle, Space, Art, Education, & Energy/ Community

Materials and techniques used: Colored pencils, paint, pastels and markers

Participants: Ross, Joell, Rachel, Nolan

What is your artwork about? Science, energy, space, & knowledge

Artwork 1: Essay by Nolan“In my art the theme I used was recycling and space. I used space in my art by drawing planets and a space ship. I used recycling by putting a recycling symbol on the space ship. The themes that I used are important to the future by saying recycling is good and it can help the world in the long run.”

Artwork 2: Essay by Joell“My design represents the theme because it expresses the important of science and education. This is important to the present/future because we are still having scientific break-throughs in discovery and technology and will continue to progress. I choose Albert Einstein because he is arguable one of the greatest scientist and minds to ever contribute to sciences. WE are discovering new things in science everyday to help better and improve our lives. Science is extremely important to our lives and world.”

Artwork 3: Essay by Rachel“My design was an art theme mixed with school. The school supplies represent the need of education. For us to move forward we must gain knowledge. Art helps students to become creative. With art and school students can express and explore the world.”

Artwork 4: Essay by Ross“The theme of my design is energy. The windmills in the picture convert the air into energy. When the wind blows, it spins the propellers, creating mechanical energy. My design is important to the future because wind will never run out. There will always be the opportunity to use wind energy even when all else fails. The main principle of design is movement. The wind blowing and the propellers moving make it movement.”
