Artwork 1: Essay by Shelby“My theme (as impossible as it is to deduce from my drawing) is in fact, space. My forth mentioned drawing represents space because it is in fact, space…It is a very poor representation, but it “is what it is” I suppose. This theme is important because without space or the rest of the galaxy or the universe, earth would not exist. Earth not existing would be what scientist define as a “bad time” whenever an outcome has a chance of not happening exactly as predicted, thus disproving their hypothesis. If “bad time” was a sentient being it would undoubtly define scientist as a group of overpaid narcissists, who should stop going around defining everything they see.”

Artwork 2: Essay by Sarah“The theme of my Dream Rocket Project is space. My design represents space because it shows the setting suns behind mountains with night creeping in. In these dark blue and puple colors you can see stars. My theme is important to the present because people nowadays need to pause and glance up to the sky. They need to look forward and see what could be, not what is.”

Artwork 3: Essay by Lacey“The themes I chose for this project are recycling, community, and music. The reason I chose recycling is because without recycling, lots of trees would be gone. With recycling we can reuse a lot of things. The dumps would be really full. It saves a lot of space so we don’t turn the earth into a big trash pile. I chose community because when people “come together” it can make a world of difference.”

Artwork 4: Essay by Alexis“Throughout the entire work of art, I used many principles of design. I’m pretty sure I used almost everyone. The main principle of design I used was unity. The group of people standing together holding hands and listening to music was the unity. I also used many themes for this work of art including: community, music, peace and recycling. The unity is combined with all of these themes, by communities joining together, music bringing them together, peace to keep them together, and recycling helping each other keep the community clean. Community, music, peace, and recycling could all together help our community grow strong and stay clean. And if we continue to help out and lend a hand our community will progress. We stand strong.”
