Title: Dream Rocket in Space

Teacher: Mrs. Dana Pippen

Homeroom: Mr. Germany and Mrs. Powell

Dream Theme: Space

Materials & techniques used: We used fabric paint to create the miniature dream rocket, the planets, stars and the group information on our panel. We used sharpies to create the individual panels on the miniature dream rocket.

Participants: Matheson, Dylan, Quacedric, Jaylon, Kaelin, Jake, Eli, Kaity, Ava and Mrs. Pippen

What is your art about? We created a miniature Dream Rocket in space to showcase the different ideas our class had for creating a better world. The ideas were: recycle, clean up trash, create electric car charging stations on our roads, reuse old wrecked trains, and make better medicines.

Title: Earth and Space

Teacher: Mrs. Dana Pippen

Homeroom: Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. White

Dream Theme: Community/Conservation/Healthy Space

Materials & techniques used: We used sharpies and fabric paint to create our panel. We used a sponging technique to create “space” in the top sections and “Earth” in the bottom sections.

Participants: Devon, Stephen-Michael, Aidan, Carter, Tanner, Dawson, Zane, Rain, McKenzie, Darianna, Jaden and Mrs. Pippen

What is your art about? We began with 11 different ideas. We were able to combine them into a few themes: World Peace, Space Exploration, Clean Air and Water, and Save us From Bugs. We painted the Earth in the center of our panel and divided the background to show the other themes. We wrote World Peace on the painting of the Earth and then painted rockets in space and other planets in the top sections. We painted a factory putting out pollution and the words “Help Our Planet Live” in one of the bottom sections and a boy getting bit – and possibly catching a disease – by a mosquito in the other bottom section.
