Title: The Stuff

Dream Theme: 100 Years of Agriculture

Teacher: Laura Fillmore

Materials and Techniques Used: Silk screen, fabric, and crayons. 2′ square muslin, fabric, fabric markers, silk screened icons (screened in fabric paints) and fabric pastels. All items have been ironed for durability, wear, and waterproofing.

What is your artwork about? Agriculture
Students looked at the history of Victory Gardens and the tradition of posters and propaganda from that era–as well as the newer generation of re-purposed images–and, based on their knowledge of their own organic school-to-table lab garden, created works that express their relationship to a new history of Agriculture.
