Title: “At the 100th Meridian”

What is your artwork about? This work is about the duality of farming on the High Plains, specifically in the NW corner of Kansas. The duality that has been created over the past century between family owned farms and huge corporate farms.
Materials and techniques used: Mixed media (acrylic paint, oil pastels and watercolor paints) and vintage land ownership map on canvas.
Did you enjoy participating? Yes. This type of project keeps me close to my rural roots.
