Created by Abraham Buddish from Winchester, Kansas
Title: “Yesterday’s Dream”
Theme: Made in honor of the 100th Anniversary of the Kansas State Fair
Materials and techniques used: This is made from 100% wool. The background is wet felted wool from my sheep. The landscape is needle felted onto the background using natural colored wool, hand and commercially dyed wool.
I have passed this barn numerous times near my home. I thought about the people who had lived there, whose dream it was to work that land, make a home and raise a family. I thought about how that had maybe come true, but is now fading away
