Title: Underwater Planet
Theme: Space
Art Teacher: Julie Peterson-Shea
Materials and techniques used: Fabric paint, glitter

About: Our group thought about space and other planets and began to wonder what a planet would be like if all the life forms reminded us of underwater life. Instead of floating thru water, the animals would float thru low gravity and fly in the air. They may even be bright colored. When we visit in our space ship it would remind us of being in the ocean.

Title: Space Warp Travel
Art Teacher: Julie Peterson-Shea
Theme: Space
Materials and techniques used: Spray paint, fabric paint, glitter

About: Traveling at warp speed thru space in the future will make those long distances between galaxies seem like short walks in space. Just like Star Trek, we will fold or warp space to make it possible to explore even farther out from Earth. How exciting it will be to see up close what we can only guess at thru a space telescope.

Title: Meeting Other Life Forms
Theme: Space
Art Teacher: Julie Peterson-Shea
Materials and techniques used: Spray paint, fabric paint, acrylic paint, permanent marker

About: The Eugene Mobile travels the galaxy to make new friends with life forms everywhere. Making friends with others helps us to learn new technologies and learn about other ways to live and other cultures. This space ship is like an airplane that can land and take off over and over but also travel in outer space. Just think of all of the interesting things that we will learn when we meet someone from “out there”.
