Title: Rovers On Mars
Theme: Space
Art Teacher: Charlene Jesser
Sponsors: USD402, John Black, Holly Francis and Charlene Jesser
Materials and techniques used: We used 2′ by 2′ canvas and acrylic paint to make our works of Art. We learned how to work together. We learned to give new ideas to the group and that we sometimes must give in to the group and not expect to always get our way. We learned collaboration skills.

About: For the Hutchinson exhibit we focused on the curiosity rover and we learned about the space exploration taking place in our world. We worked in small groups of six or seven to collaboratively come up with our submission and our work of art. We learned abut all four rovers, Athena, Fido, Sojourner and Curiosity. Curiosity was named by a sixth grader from Kansas! We learned that at one time people like us could have lived on Mars. We are much more aware of our NASA exploration efforts.

Did you enjoy working on this project? We have all enjoyed working on this project. We have learned how important it is to work together and how much we learn from each other.
