Title: Rocket
Art Teacher: Kelli Fast
Theme: Space

Materials and techniques used: We drew rockets using permanent marker. Then we added color using oil pastel. We made starry night backgrounds by spattering white paint on black paper with a toothbrush. We cut out and glued the rockets onto the starry night background paper. Lastly, we added tissue paper flames to make our rockets look like they were taking off into space.

About: We are lucky enough to live in the hometown of the world famous Cosmosphere and Space Center so for our Dream Theme we choose space. We discussed space, the Cosomosphere, and its impact on our lives. Then we looked at different rocket ships and discussed the lines and shapes we could use to draw a rocket.
