Title: Women’s Rights
Materials: The art work is all cotton for the front and back and poly batting in between. Her hair is yarn and earrings are glass beads. Her kimono is made up of various print cotton fabric with pearl cotton thread as embellishment around the slogans. My lady is machine appliqué and was machine quilted by me.+The design is all original.
About: 1970’s was the high point of Women’s Rights. Marches, bra burning, slogans and a sisterhood that was stronger than ever has brought use from the 1800’s to now. To quote a famous saying “You Come Along Way Baby”
Did you enjoy working on this project? I really enjoy this project for it brought memories of when I was a supporter of women’s right.
