Did you enjoy this project? Yes, we had a lot of fun!
About: Our group stumbled upon a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt that we all felt was influential and fit the “dream” theme. “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” -Eleanor Roosevelt. This quote, although specific to Eleanor is applicable to just about anyone in any aspect of life.
Over the course of a month we learned about Mrs. Roosevelt and her many accomplishments. As each student worked on their portion of the quote, I read articles and stories about Eleanor to them. The students were also shown many photographs of Eleanor throughout her life. They each made their portion of the quote in crayon batik. Throughout our entire artistic process, we had Eleanor in our thoughts.
