About: Giselle was inspired by the idea of innovation and color. She wanted to make a painting based on the idea of creating a coin with an Edison Portrait but colors that seemed vibrant and new to her as a background. She used a monochromatic grey scale for the portrait to represent the past.

Title: Innovative Evolution

Theme: Science / Technology

Teacher: Catherine Haggarty

Materials: Watercolor, acrylic, pen, ink, and canvas.

About: Jason was interested in bringing together his two creative outlets, music and art into this piece. He chose a new invention, the I-phone and the concept of progression to show the arrows moving forward and featuring a Thomas Edison invention in an I-phone to represent dated and new inventions working together. His choice to make the arrows fade in saturation was to represent movement and progress over time.
