Exhibit: June 1 – August 31, 2014

Reception: June 24

Hyde Park, NY

“We ended up having about 30 people attend (reception). In attendance were a couple of Principal’s, teachers, a girl scout leader, parents, grandparents and students. It was a pretty informal affair. The Superintendent of the National Historic Sites in Hyde Park welcome the group. The Executive Director of our friends group (Honoring Eleanor Roosevelt) that sponsored the art project for the National Park Service said a few words, and then I introduced our orientation film that we show at Val-Kill “close to home” to the group. The rest of the time was taken up “viewing” the exhibit. It was an enjoyable evening, and we are so proud of what the students accomplished. The exhibit will be displayed through the end of July, and will be viewed by hundreds of students and visitors to the site.” – Scott Rector, Chief of Interpretation
