Title: Elements of Life

Theme: Art

Materials and techniques: Fabric, acrylic paint, Stitch-witch glue

Did you enjoy this project? Some students found it more difficult since they experience working with a new media: fabric but overall they enjoyed the challenge.

About: I chose to express life on Mars by the rendering of the volcano because when life formed on Earth volcanic vents contributed ideal conditions. The circles represent the clouds and the quantum levels of atoms that make up life.

Title: A STROLL IN THE PARK

Theme: Art

Materials and techniques: Acrylic and thread on muslin.

About: This art piece shows the surface of Mars as if one was taking a walk to see the sunset. The circle design overlapping the setting sun are the glare off the lens of a camera, staining the picture. The last rays of the sun’s light reflect off the atmosphere and create a myriad of colors in the sky, that fade into the dark tones of outer space.

Title: Inner Planetary Existence

Theme: Living off the Land on Mars

About: The fashion and religious beliefs that have been brought from Earth have evolved over centuries in Mars. Humans are more spiritual, meditating more. They have evolved and resist cold climates.
