Title: Gumball Rocket
Theme: Imagination, Art and Science
Materials and techniques used: Paint and fabric
About: My textile art is of an imaginative rocket in space. It has a giant globe full of gumballs and the gumball slot is the entrance and exit. The flames shoot out of the bottom of a gumball machine. It has a pointed top and is flying past the sun.
I made the Gumball Rocket to have fun. When I’m making art I’m relaxed and happy. I enjoy drawing whatever is on my mind. Making my rocket isn’t for getting to put my art on a rocket, it’s for me to have fun and share my art.
It didn’t take long for me to think of my rocket. I was just thinking about my rocket in art class. When I looked at someone’s lollipop rocket, I suddenly thought of a gumball machine rocket, which I thought was the best idea ever. So I guess I became really inspired by other people’s art.
