Title: “Unconditional”

Theme: Equality

Materials and techniques: I simply used acrylic paint, a paint brush, and my faith in God.

Did you enjoy this project? I did enjoy creating this art work because it has taught me many valuable life lessons that I’ve always known, but never lived.

About: The meaning of this particular piece of art work has many. It has allowed me to portray how I feel about abortion, the significance of each person no matter their size, and most importantly my relationship with God. This painting captures perhaps one of the most sincere moments in a parent’s life. This moment shows how much hope a baby has inside their parent. Everything that has ever come to be or is yet to be starts out with the hope you put into it, that it will prosper. Hope then turns into faith which will then turn into love, which is the strongest of these three. Love never fails, so why not love those around us no matter their social status, size, appearance, or religion. Perhaps one of the biggest lessons I have learned through God through creating this painting is to love unconditionally.

Title: “Don’t Judge a Person by Their Outfit”

Theme: Making an opinion of someone before you even try to know them.

Materials and techniques: Acrylic on canvas.

Did you enjoy this project? Yes, my group and I, individually working on this project, all enjoyed working on the project and would most likely do something like this again.

About: First, there is a woman. Normally, she would be comfortable with how she looks. But with the media using Photoshop to give women and men the wrong idea on how people should look, she believes that if she doesn’t eat, she can achieve the unhealthy reality.

Next, there is a man. He grew up on the streets, no one to believe in him. He has potential. He wants to learn. But because he wears a bandana and talks like a thug, others don’t want to give him a chance.

Then there is a young boy. He is dirty, old clothes. He even ran away from the orphanage that his parents left him when he was a baby, although all he wants is a family.

Finally, there is an old woman. With young people giving the elderly a bad rap, no one wants to take care of her. She feels so small (hence her child-like stature) and just wants someone to love her.
