Title: “Game for Change”

Theme: Women’s Rights

Materials and techniques: I am primarily a quilter so that was the main focus on the project, but I decided I wanted to try a new skill. I used Mod Podge to transfer pictures onto fabric and then used these pictures as embellishments; they are designed to look like coaster on a table. I also did some hand and machine embroidery to enhance some of the words I appliquéd onto the piece.

Did you enjoy this project? I really enjoyed doing this project; it made me think about what I wanted to say and then how I wanted to say it. I was able to experiment with new materials. If I get the opportunity to do another project like this I think I will try to be more adventuress.

About: My piece is about how women can change the world around them. Just like any board game you need to participate to help make those changes. I found the material with clocks and then built the piece around the idea that there is always time for change.
