Title: “Gazing Skyward to Mars and Beyond”

Theme: Art: American ingenuity, genius & creativity exemplified by inventor entrepreneurs like Thomas Edison are the reason today’s children can gaze skyward and anticipate interplanetary travel. In a way, Edison long ago sparked the Dream Rocket.

Materials and techniques: Gesso on fabric; acrylic paint.

Did you enjoy this project? It was a wonderful learning experience, a synergy of art and science.

Title: “My Future in Space: A Synergy of Art and Science in the Penumbra of Interplay and Translations.”

Theme: Space & Art: American ingenuity, genius & creativity exemplified by inventor entrepreneurs like Thomas Edison are the reason today’s children can gaze skyward and imagine that they might someday ride NASA’s DREAM ROCKET to Mars and beyond.

Materials and techniques: Gesso on fabric; acrylic paint.
My students researched, explored, visualized, conceptualized and finally expressed their interest in space exploration and space travel, using previously garnered artistic skills, acquired in my art classes over the course of this school year.
