Did you enjoy this project? Yes, we enjoyed making this art very much. We had a great time and enjoyed some great experiences while creating this artwork. We had an amazing time working in groups and accomplishing this work of art.

About:

We chose to try and depict the picture that we did because people who have unfortunately passed away in the military are some of the most important heroes according to us.

They gave their lives so we could live another day, or however much longer in ours. So, in our artwork we decided to show a silhouette of an army officer standing in a sunset, behind him stands the American flag.

We also decided to show the olive branch and two doves as a symbol of peace.

Having fun

Title: Thank you for Your Service

Theme: American Heroes

Materials and techniques: We used different colored paints such as black, red, white, grey, blue, and gold paint. We used fabric and black Sharpie markers.

Did you enjoy this project? Yes, we both enjoyed painting and drawing. But the best part is that we are supporting our fellow heroes.

About:

We called our art work “Thank you For Your Service” because I told Nora how a very close friend of mine went into the army. He got injured in his assignment and then when he came home it was really hard for him because he had no support. His mother found out and started supporting him. As you have probably seen on the streets, homeless people have signs saying “Homeless Veteran Please Help”. I think this is sad and that is why I am trying to reach out to the people.

The eagle represents the American bird. Obviously the American flag is in our painting because it’s the American Flag.
