About: We were discussing the Revolutionary War and the idea of Freedom and chose to depict an ideal representation of freedom during that time. We felt that a scene showing our struggle for independence would show our passion for the ideals we fought for. When titled this piece “Rockets’ Red Glare” because the National Anthem naturally came to mind after reviewing the piece. The flag flying triumphantly amongst the background with the red glare of rockets buzzing around really envisioned the theme and mood we were going for.
