About: The artwork portrays a heroic American soldier on horseback. His horse is rearing and ready to move forward, accepting any challenge which lies before them. It looks very much like the way such a soldier would be depicted in a War Memorial Statue.

About: The artwork shows American soldiers in battle with British soldiers on a beautiful grassy field. It highlights how much the soldiers were alike in dress and age, but very different in their views on loyalty to the King of England.

About: It is a symbolic representation of the major opposing forces during the American Revolution, the American Colonies and the sovereign power of England. This artwork shows both the American colonial flag and the British flag with other visual symbols typical of the time period, spectacles, an inkwell and a quill pen. Such items would have been used to write and sign the Declaration of Independence.
