Title: Wings

Teacher: Mrs. Fullerton

Theme: I can Fly

Materials and techniques: The selected designs were colored copied and then transferred onto canvas using Mod Podge. The ink was transferred to the fabric and the paper fibers rubbed off. A thin layer of Mod Podge was painted over the ink to seal it as well as the stenciled designs around the works of art.

Did you enjoy this project? Yes, all the students enjoyed being a part of this process. Our only drawback was the time factor. We had hoped to do more in the time we had but we feel we did our best with what we had.
Students truly enjoy connecting the sciences to art and exploring their own inventions and ideas on where we may enhance man’s experience of travel.

About: Students used some internet research to see what helps us fly and then they figured out ways to modify and use their imaginations to create a new idea. Their fellow students voted on their favorite designs from the classes (4th-8th Grades). The favorites were selected to be transferred onto artist canvas.
