Title: Tides of Change
Teacher: Mrs. Jones
Materials and techniques: We used paint, newspaper, construction paper, tracing paper glue, and paint. We used a collage technique, on top of a classically painted background.
Did you enjoy this project? They enjoyed the class discussions and searching the newspaper for the words that represented the vocabulary used in their arguments. Students likes that each groups work comes together to really represent a larger impact, of how different ideas spread into a cultural movement.
About: The theme is of the arguments that spur change in the Revolutionary War. The work is of the ships carrying the ideas of change through their sails. Each word has a story and in the artist way reflects the ideals of either the American’s or the English point of view.
