Theme: Things you didn’t know about Edison

Materials and techniques: The materials we used were feathers, fabric softener sheets, acrylic paint, printed fabric, and paint markers. Our main technique was painting and pasting the materials onto the canvas fabric provided.

Did you enjoy this project? We did enjoying working on this project because it gave new insight on who Edison was growing up as a kid.

About: Thomas Edison was a brilliant inventor who spent all of his life analyzing how things worked. Even when he was young he was curious about how chickens hatched their eggs, so he went into his brother’s barn and tried to hatch the eggs by sitting on the eggs himself.

Did you enjoy this project? Yes. We did the project for Art Club and enjoyed getting together to come up with new ideas.

About: People know about the light bulb but not about all of the other interesting things he invented. We wanted to show him working in his lab.

Materials and techniques: We used paint, paint markers, and fake hair which was pasted on the doll’s head.

Did you enjoy this project? Yes we enjoyed working on the project because it was interesting and unique having to create a doll.

About: It’s about Thomas Edison’s strange love for pie, and the technology used to create a new doll that spoke. He’s also with credited starting the trend of answering the phone with hello.

Materials and techniques: We used acrylic paint, embroidery thread, paint markers, and fabric.

Did you enjoy this project? Yes, we did. We enjoyed working together as a team and the collaboration needed to complete it.

About: We found that Edison used to take videos of cats boxing with his new enhanced movie camera. The fireworks are meant to signify his love for the fourth of July.
