Roots + Shoots is a branch of the Jane Goodall Institute that works to inspire individuals to improve their communities. They offer ideas and guidance to those interested in making a difference and developing a grassroots style solution to local problems and concerns. Groups around the world rescue animals, plant gardens of hope, promote the use of reusable bags, and transform litter into decorations. Most notably, they encourage youth led campaigns by uniting locals that share similar goals. Over 10,000 youths and 100 countries are actively involved in Roots + Shoots. To learn more about roots + shoots visit their website at www.rootsandshoots.org
