Techniques and Materials Used:Sewing, Painting, Markers, Fabric, Glue, Yarn, Paint, Markers, Poly-fil batting
What is your groups panel about?
The girls are very concerned about world peace. They always say, "Why can't peoplejust get along?" When we started talking about the project all of the girls wanted to represent people from every ethnic group. They wanted to use fabrics with many textures to show the differences in all of us. They expressed a desire to show many skin tones for all the cultures of the world. They cut out shapes of their hands in different color fabrics. They chose to put them around the outside of the panel to"reach out" to the world. The idea was basically that all the hands are different, but they are all still hands. I guess this translates to "we are all different, but we are all human, which makes us all the same."

Techniques and Materials Used:Sewing, Painting, and Gluing
What is your groups panel about?"While learning about the levels of Girl Scouts, one of the girls remarked, "And that is the Life Cycle of a Girl Scout." She completed the thought with "And now you can be a Leader."
She was referring to being a Girl Scout troop leader. Girl Scouts teach girls to be leaders in all areas of life."
Since Girl Scouts Build Leaders, this seemed like a great theme for our panel."
Did you enjoy working on this project?"Yes! Awsome group of Girl Scouts. It was an honor to watch 11 little girls collaborate on ideas for the project. Then, they put those ideas into actions. Builds teamworking skills."
What else could the IFC do?Maybe a Train that still runs across America.
